Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating plant and facility maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role leads the maintenance team to meet repair needs, quality requirements, and customer delivery expectations while supporting production goals. The Maintenance Supervisor also supports company policies, practices, rules, and requirements. Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including staffing, hiring, training, and performance managementPlan, schedule, and prioritize preventive and predictive maintenance to support production and minimize downtimePromote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant-wide safety programsCoordinate with Production Supervisors, Managers, and Operations leadership to align maintenance activities with production needsAssign work based on employee skills and ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and up to quality standardsTroubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and interpret schematics, specifications, and technical documentationEnsure equipment calibration, reliability, and compliance with company proceduresMonitor maintenance performance, quality standards, and housekeeping across all work areasCommunicate equipment issues affecting quality, scheduling, or delivery and recommend corrective actionsAddress employee performance issues, including safety, attendance, and quality, with proper documentationPromotes a teaching and collaborative culture and models cohesion across departmentsJob Requirements: High school diploma or GED and preferably a Technical/Trade Certificate or Degree. Two years of prior experience in Maintenance highly preferred. Working knowledge of analyzing information, reporting research results, promoting process improvement, and safety. Comprehension and utilization of the company database program and other computer applications as appropriate to the position or indicated by VP of Operations.
