Fire Academy- EMT- Instructor Aide, Part Time

EMT Instructor Aides to serve an apprenticeship with the respective training agency, provide appropriate instruction under the supervision of a Department of Health and Senior Services, Office of Emergency Medical Services approved EMT-B instructor, attend and participate in all aspects of EMT Basic training, and assist in maintaining continuity for the training program. The EMT- Instructor Aide works towards gaining certification as an EMT Instructor.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide appropriate instruction under the supervision of a New Jersey Certified EMT Instructor.Assist and support New Jersey Certified EMT Instructor with class session, pre-class setup and breakdown.Assist students with practical skills.Assist students with their questions and provided any needed direction and follow up.Work towards certification as a New Jersey EMT Instructor.EMT Instructor Aides to serve an apprenticeship with the respective training agency,High School Diploma or GED.Three years EMT Basic or Paramedic or equivalent medical experience.One year pre-hospital experience as an EMT- Basic or Paramedic.
