As an Acute Care Pediatric Physician Assistant, you will provide expert clinical support in our specialized 44-bed Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU), caring for high-acuity pediatric cardiac patients transitioning from ICU to the step-down unit. This fast-paced, collaborative environment offers the opportunity to utilize your advanced skills in managing complex cases, including VADs, ventilator dependence, and inotropic infusions, while working alongside experienced residents and attending physicians.Required Skills:Certified Physician Assistant licensed in relevant stateValid BC Critical Care CertificationProven ability to assess and manage high-acuity pediatric cardiac patientsStrong clinical judgment and adaptability in a dynamic settingExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to perform complex procedures such as chest tube management and external pacingNice to Have Skills:Experience in pediatric critical care or cardiac unitsFamiliarity with ventricular assist devices (VADs) and transplant patient managementPrior experience working with multidisciplinary teams including residents and fellowsBilingual abilities or multilingual proficiencyPreferred Education and Experience:Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant programMinimum of 2 years of pediatric critical care or cardiac care experiencePediatric Advanced Cardiac Care (PACC) certification preferredOther Requirements:Availability to start on or before July 20, 2026Ability to work 13-hour day shifts with flexibility for night coverageWillingness to participate in ongoing training and professional developmentCommitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care in a demanding environmentOur competitive hourly rate of $170.43, combined with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, licensure and certification reimbursements, and a robust referral bonus program, makes this an outstanding opportunity to elevate your career.
