IT Architect

Duties Design, develop, test and implement various client-server software architecture and multi-tier distributed systems on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and J2EE platforms, using Web Services, EJB, Servlet, Databases, Oracle Configurator, Rational Rose, TogetherJ and Eclipse; gather and interpret functional specifications and technical user requirements; create and deploy the architecture, sizing and capacity planning for distributed multi-tier systems for clients; performance tuning for large and complex systems utilizing various profiling and load testing tools including Load Runner, Wily Introscope, OptimizeIT and JProbe; create deployment packages and perform application deployment on BEA Weblogic; perform systems integration and testing, and develop enhancements and modifications for existing program logic; provide user training and technical documentation, as needed. Location Multiple undetermined worksites throughout the U.S. Salary $86,200 per year. Education Bachelor - Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree). Training None Experience Five (5) years in the position above, or as a Systems Analyst/Consultant, or as a Senior Software Engineer, or in a related occupation; Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
