Job Description:Demolition & Abatement - Project ManagerAbout the RoleA well-established contractor is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to oversee demolition and environmental abatement operations from kickoff through closeout. This position encompasses the management of both structural/interior teardown scopes and hazardous material mitigation work.The right candidate will have a proven track record of leading projects, juggling multiple active job sites, and a firm command of construction documentation, financial oversight, and field-level coordination.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with preconstruction personnel to assist in subcontractor selection and supplier procurementThoroughly review contract documents, project drawings, and technical specifications to establish a complete understanding of each scopeFacilitate and attend project meetings involving owners, general contractors, trade partners, and internal teamsOversee the submittal process, including preparation, distribution, and tracking through approvalGenerate and submit monthly pay applications along with project status updatesPartner with the finance team to review, validate, and approve subcontractor and vendor invoicesBuild and manage detailed project schedules using scheduling software, maintaining adherence to key milestonesServe as the point of accountability for site safety, ensuring all work aligns with regulatory requirements and internal standardsTrack project financials including budgets, costs, and forecasting throughout each job's durationField Coordination & Project DeliveryMaintain close working relationships with field supervisors and trade contractors to uphold quality and safety standardsHandle RFIs, change order management, subcontracts, and purchase order administrationPerform regular site visits to evaluate progress, troubleshoot challenges, and keep work on trackAct as a resource and mentor for less experienced team members and field staffEnsure all project activities remain in full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal demolition and abatement regulationsSoftware & TechnologyFamiliarity with the following tools is a plus:MS ProjectPrimavera P6ProcoreSage 300 (Construction)Bluebeam RevuMicrosoft Office SuiteWhat You'll NeedRequired:5+ years of hands-on experience in construction project management or a closely related disciplineSolid background working within demolition, environmental remediation, or comparable project environmentsDemonstrated ability to control budgets, maintain schedules, and manage project documentation with accuracyStrong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational capabilitiesPreferred:A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a comparable field of studyOSHA credentials or working knowledge of construction site safety protocolsWhat's in It for YouThis is a chance to take on technically complex, high-visibility projects within an organization that puts safety and collaboration at the forefront.
