Senior Software Engineer (On-site)

Our client is seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers with a passion for real-time embedded software development, integration, and testing. This role supports the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture and design, coding, integration, troubleshooting, and software verification activities within a complex engineering environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong embedded software development experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering disciplines. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, architecture, design, implementation, testing, integration, and documentation Develop, maintain, upgrade, and support embedded software applications and related product support software Perform software coding, unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and software verification activities Support hardware and software integration efforts Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineering teams Mentor junior software engineers and support technical development within the team Ensure software solutions align with established engineering principles, customer requirements, and quality standards Assist with resolving technical issues and supporting customer needs Support integration and testing activities in laboratory and customer environments Travel to customer sites as required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred Minimum of 4 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing required Minimum of 2 years of experience with a Master’s degree considered Strong programming experience with C and C++ Experience with Python programming Experience developing software applications on Linux operating systems Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development principles Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance required Benefits: Health Insurance 401k Pay Range: $58.00 - $63.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications) By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from HEPCO, Inc and its affiliates, and contracted partners.
