Acquisitions Associate - Real Estate
A leading real estate investment and development platform is seeking an Acquisitions & Underwriting Associate to join its Miami-based team. This role is ideal for a highly analytical real estate professional with experience evaluating investment opportunities across multifamily, mixed-use, office, hospitality, and/or opportunistic asset classes.Qualifications2–6 years of experience in real estate acquisitions & underwritingStrong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiencyExperience underwriting equity investments and evaluating institutional-quality real estate opportunitiesUnderstanding of IRR, equity multiple, waterfall structures, debt sizing, and sensitivity analysisFamiliarity with Argus, CoStar, Yardi, or other industry platforms is a plusBachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related disciplineStrong communication and presentation abilitiesHighly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneouslyEntrepreneurial mindset with a desire to work in a fast-paced investment environmentResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain detailed real estate financial models for acquisitions, developments, recapitalizations, and asset-level analysesUnderwrite prospective investment opportunities including cash flow modeling, sensitivity analyses, return metrics, and scenario planningConduct market research, competitive analysis, and demographic studies to support investment decisionsAssist with due diligence processes including review of leases, operating statements, budgets, third-party reports, and financing materialsPrepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal investment committee discussionsCoordinate with brokers, lenders, legal counsel, operating partners, and third-party consultants throughout transaction executionSupport capital structuring and equity-focused investment strategies across the platformMonitor pipeline activity and maintain acquisition tracking systemsWork collaboratively with asset management and development teams post-acquisition
