This hybrid role combines direct patient care with a supervisory leadership position in a collaborative, team-based setting. Position Overview Role:Psychiatrist (MD/DO) Schedule:Full-Time (Hybrid) or Part-Time. Practice Type:Outpatient Psychiatry Contract Type:1099 Independent Contractor (No benefits) Location:Cypress, TX (In-office presence required) Compensation 80% of collected revenue Productivity-based compensation with strong earning potential Compensation structure aligned with Texas Medical Board standards for independent contractors Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for children, adolescents, and adults Diagnose and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders using evidence-based practices Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and appropriate non-pharmacologic treatments Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR) Collaborate with therapists, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care Uphold all HIPAA, state, and federal regulatory requirements Supervisory Responsibilities (Texas-Compliant) Serve as the supervising psychiatrist for up to three Nurse Practitioners Provide clinical oversight, consultation, and chart review in accordance with: Texas Medical Board rules Delegation and prescriptive authority agreements Be available for supervision, collaboration, and clinical guidance as required by law and practice policy Participate in monthly supervision meetings and quality assurance activities. Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (MD or DO) – REQUIRED Board Certification in Psychiatry Experience treating patients across the lifespan (child, adolescent, and adult) Ability to be physically present in the Cypress office at least 3 days per week Strong knowledge of Texas Medical Board regulations related to delegation and supervision Why Join Neuron Psychiatry?
