Head Start Teacher Assistant

PCDC is seeking qualified candidates with experience in Early Childhood Education. Our mission is to nurture and educate children and their families. We provide opportunities for education, parenting support, and resources to families in our communities. We are looking for Teacher Assistant that are passionate about working with children, has excellent interpersonal skills, and possess a love for education. The perfect Teacher Assistant will have great classroom management skills and be able to collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum. Responsibilities: Help Teacher with lesson preparation, including collecting materials and setting up equipment Assist with small or large groups Supervise children in class, between classes and during recreation periods Give extra help to children who need special accommodations or more assistance Assist children with special learning requirements, including disabilities Attend Staff meetings and morning meeting with Lead Teacher Collaborate with the Teacher to identify any classroom challenges and recommend solutions Adhere to OHS Performance Standards and Licensing Standards Cultivate a "Culture of Safety" to ensure children are supervised and safe at all times. Education Requirement: High School Diploma or Higher. Must be willing to obtain Preschool CDA credential within 8 months of hire.
