Our flexible solutions range from hand tools for prototyping and low production needs up to state-of-the-art equipment that can produce millions of crimps a year.The Application Tooling division is seeking an assembler/technician to join our Applicator Team. In this position, on-site work is required.In this challenging and rewarding position, you will assemble, analyze, and optimize products within the Applicator portfolio to meet customer objectives and the product management strategy. Using your mechanical assembly and manufacturing knowledge and experience, you will solve problems, recommend solutions, and share information related to custom tools which satisfy demanding performance objectives and cost targets. You will work within a team of engineers and designers, and frequently collaborate with them, our manufacturing teams, and our internal model shop.The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, a familiarity with manufacturing methods, problem solving and communication skills and a demonstrated passion for improvement. In addition, the ideal candidate will be a quick learner, with the ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.Job RequirementsOverseeing inventory control for floor stock including the organizing and sorting of incoming and overstock materials.Operating and monitoring automated technologies used in the assembly process.Assisting engineers and team members with the building and testing of prototypes and assembly-related issues; building and testing instruments.Adhering to all environmental, health/safety rules and regulations and work related instructions; recording data in compliance with tracking requirements.What Your Background Should Look LikeSimilar manufacturing position.Soldering experience.GED/high school diploma is preferredTechnical/vocational school experience preferred.Proficient with small hand tools.Fundamental computer skillsFamiliarity with ISO 9001.J-STD Certification. - Knowledge of IPC 610 & 620.Proficient in reading blueprints and drawings.Familiarity with military specifications.Attention to detail is crucial.Ability to work under pressure.Effective English communication and Strong written skills.Ability to read and comprehend procedures in English.Team player willing to assist the production team.Flexibility to work extended hours if required.CompetenciesValues: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
