We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Developer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in database development, particularly in writing and optimizing stored procedures, functions, and complex queries. The position begins as a 6-month contract with the opportunity to convert to full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PostgreSQL databases and related components
- Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Develop and manage database schemas, indexes, and performance tuning strategies
- Collaborate with application developers and cross-functional teams to support data needs
- Analyze and improve database performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement data integrity, security, and backup/recovery processes
- Support ETL processes and data migrations as needed
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development
- Strong expertise in writing stored procedures, functions, and advanced SQL queries
- Experience with query optimization and performance tuning
- Solid understanding of database design principles and normalization
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
