Prompt Engineer
Location: Harrisburg, PAPosition Type: OnsiteContract Length: Long-term with annual extensionsPosition Overview:This role is focused on leveraging generative AI, business analytics, and strategic problem-solving to improve decision-making, automate workflows, and drive measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will partner across technical and operational teams to develop prompt-driven AI solutions, translate complex business challenges into structured frameworks, and deliver actionable insights through data analysis and AI-enabled reporting.Duties: Design, test, and optimize prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Claude to support analytics, reporting, and operational workflowsTranslate complex or ambiguous business challenges into structured AI-driven solutions and prompt frameworksDevelop prompt-based systems for executive reporting, narrative generation, KPI tracking, and performance analysisSupport customer insights initiatives, segmentation strategies, experimentation, and A/B testing effortsCollaborate with Product, Operations, and Application teams to identify and implement high-impact AI use casesEvaluate prompt effectiveness through structured testing methodologies, feedback loops, and performance metricsCombine SQL, Python, and AI-generated outputs to deliver end-to-end analytical and business solutionsBuild and maintain reusable prompt libraries, templates, standards, and best practices for internal stakeholdersCommunicate AI-generated insights and analytical findings to leadership and cross-functional stakeholdersDesign and support KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive-level reporting processesApply hypothesis-driven and consulting-style problem-solving approaches to business and operational challengesAssist with prompt evaluation, guardrails, validation processes, and AI output quality improvement initiativesUtilize BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to support reporting and visualization effortsRequired QualificationsMaster of Science degree required4+ years of experience in business analytics, strategy, or other data-driven rolesHands-on professional experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and ClaudeStrong analytical and technical skills with experience using SQL, Python, or similar analytical toolsExperience designing KPI frameworks, dashboards, and executive reporting solutionsAbility to structure and solve complex business problems using hypothesis-driven or consulting-style methodologiesProven ability to translate complex datasets and findings into clear, actionable business insightsStrong stakeholder communication, collaboration, and presentation skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working within the financial services industryFamiliarity with A/B testing, cohort analysis, and performance optimization methodologiesExperience using BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or LookerExposure to prompt evaluation techniques, AI guardrails, and output validation processesBackground utilizing consulting frameworks such as McKinsey or BCG-style problem-solving approachesPowered by JazzHR
