A place where you can take your career in the direction you want to grow and go The Retail Operations Manager will be working as a team leader with the Retail operations team to develop plans to generate sales increases, control expenses and maximize profits. The Operations Manager is responsible for the safety of the Retail operations team and is accountable for the Retail budget. Plans, develops and implements organizational policies and goals. Provide leadership and vision to the organization by assisting with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans. Coordinates the activities of the stores and/or departments to obtain efficiency and economy of the total operations. Provides vision and leadership in long-range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the company. Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales and record-keeping procedures and practices. Confers with corporate administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating and sales reports to determine what changes in programs or operations are required. Promotes the organization to the industry, trade associations, and local officials. Resolves customer’s complaints and inquiries. Promotes and manages a positive and productive work environment working with the management team to provide clear communications and fair and timely evaluations of all staff. Hires and promotes from within (whenever possible) to ensure the proper management of the location as well as the company overall. Follow and enforce all SPF Energy’s policies and established procedures. Implement and enforce all merchandising and vendor policies and procedures. Frequent travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like Uses all available data to make commercial decisions based on sound analysis and financial judgment. Supports and coaches Territory Managers to increase their store’s profitability. Adopts a strategic view of the stores while ensuring the tactical and fiscal integrity of assigned stores portfolio. Understands the behavior and patterns of assigned stores’ customer base, draws conclusions from this and coaches Territory Managers to meet and exceed customer expectations. Actively monitors customer satisfaction and feedback systems to drive continuous service improvement. Creates a service culture by ensuring all activities are centered on the customer. Positively communicates and demonstrates the Brand Values and Attitude. Positively influences all business stakeholders by offering suggestions and ideas on ways to improve operations and processes. Leads the recruitment, on boarding, training and development efforts for Territory Managers, actively manages the succession planning process and ensures all HR policies and procedures are adhered to. Creates a high performance culture in all assigned stores by setting clear expectations and targets, analyzing stores performance, holding Territory Mangers accountable and giving appropriate and prompt feedback. Coaches, motivates and inspires Territory Mangers to accomplish store goals and maximize their individual performance, both face-to-face and remotely. Communicates a desire to learn and seizes all available opportunities to drive assigned stores development and increase performance. Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Conduct monthly safety and security meetings and document the meetings with a sign in sheet listing all employees in attendance. Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with SPF Energy’s policy and procedure. Ensure that confidentiality of data collected and stored are maintained. Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned. Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for insuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to SPF Energy. Self-direction and motivation are also expected. Skills & Knowledge: Proficient verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office Minimum of five years of experience in business management A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, and evaluation Strong analytical skills and the ability to recognize opportunities to improve the business results and/or profitability Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Finance or other related field 5-7 years of experience in management capacity Retail sales background Proven skills in business and financial management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations Humble.
