The facility offers state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative team approach to patient care, serving the diverse needs of the Orange County community.Opportunity:Physician - Internal Medicine - GastroenterologyJob Details:• Permanent placement position in gastroenterology • Average of 12 patient encounters per shift • No EUS expectation or availability in this GI role • Upper GI endoscopy procedures required including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, and injection of varices • Lower GI endoscopy procedures including flexible sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision • Esophageal dilatation/manometry capabilities required • PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures required • Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required • ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required • Board eligible or board certified in gastroenterology required • ACLS and BLS certifications required • 90-day credentialing timeframe • Will consider candidates within 1 year of completing fellowship • Open to unlicensed candidates with strong ties to Orange County or California • Anticipated start date once credentialing is complete (potentially July 1 or sooner)Compensation:Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
