Federal Health Sector Lead (Senior Manager 2)

Join our team of professionals in delivering strategic and tactical guidance to senior leadership in support of pursuit development efforts.Work you will doAs the Sector Lead you will:Lead and develop a strong relationship with Sector relationship, meeting regularly with Sector LeadershipLead a strong and unified Pursuit Center of Excellence (PCOE) Federal Health Sector team to include:Prioritizing opportunities and aligning resourcesProviding Sector-specific reporting for deployments and pipeline forecastingServing as a strategic advisor and providing oversight of team members on large, complex sector aligned opportunitiesServing as team leader for proposal resources; coaching and mentoring team membersWorking with Pursuit Managers to mitigate/ adjudicate issues/ problems with sector stakeholders, as neededSupporting special projects as determined by Sector and Pursuit COE LeadershipProvide overall strategic leadership and approach to managing complex pursuits, from pre-RFP through submission/productionLead proposal teams in developing a tactical and strategic approach, evaluating solicitation requirements, managing a time-effective process, and improving efficiencies of the pursuitDrive development of compliant and compelling proposal responsesCollaborate with technical teams to develop content that is clear, effective and consistentBrainstorm solutions providing tactical advice and guidance with the ability to drive strategy and solutionsDemonstrate the ability to bring creativity and innovation to the framing and structuring of proposalDemonstrate ability to use AI tools in the development and refinement of proposal contentHave responsibility across multiple, concurrent projectsAdjust to shifting priorities, stringent deadlines, last minute requirements, and occasional evening/weekend hours to accomplish tasks within non-negotiable client deadlinesConduct post-submission proposal debriefs to determine future proposal strategies and potential process and tool changesContribute to the development and continuous improvement of proposal management processes, tools, and templatesWhen needed, serve as an Orals Coach to include planning, messaging, scripting, and facilitating sessionsThe TeamOur Enabling Areas Pursuits team is a collaborative group of professionals dedicated to supporting Deloitte's internal operations and strategic initiatives. Joining us means contributing to projects that strengthen the foundation of our organization.QualificationsRequired10+ years of relevant work experienceBachelor's degree with preferred concentration in Business, English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications5+ years leading complex Federal proposal opportunities ($100M+), providing strategic and tactical advice and guidance to senior leadership and client service teams5+ years of experience working with account teams to execute pursuit methodology process, driving the development of compliant and compelling proposals5+ years of experience working with Sector (or equivalent) resources to define priorities, manage resources, mitigate challenges, and lead a geographically dispersed proposal team5+ years of experience leading teams in strategic discussions to increase the probability of win (PWin)5+ years of experience as a senior advisor providing oversight of sector aligned proposal team members5+ years of experience with Federal procurement (e.g., FAR)5+ years of experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and ExcelMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureAbility to travel up to 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.Preferred:Advanced level of skills and specialties that offer high strategic value to top priority pursuits.Editorial practice and standardsExcellent communicator - both written and oralTraining in formal capture/proposal methodologies and AI tools for proposal development and managementImplementation of Industry-wide leading practices in proposal managementA team player with an outstanding ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executivesDemonstrated ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgmentStrong interpersonal skills, including aptitude for building relationships, understanding team dynamics, taking initiative, and solving problemsAbility to read situations and adapt leadership style to achieve resultsKeen listener, with the ability to quickly grasp ideas to be reflected in written documents and presentationsAbility to work with grace and efficiency in a demanding, deadline-driven environmentTeam-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple projects at onceDemonstrated initiative and problem-solving abilityAttention to detail and exceptional follow-up skillsAbility to analyze information and make sound observations and recommendations quicklyThe wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
