Conducts nutrition screen for patients upon admission and establishes nutritional risk.Completes a comprehensive nutrition assessment for patients, reassessments, and develops individualized nutrition plan of care.Participates in interdisciplinary care planning.Provides recommendation for diet orders, nutrition supplements, and tube feeding regimens. Provide therapeutic diet education to patient/family as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT:KNOWLEDGES, SKIILLS AND CAPACITIES: A thorough knowledge of the theory and practice of dietetics including nutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and physical conditions, basic and therapeutic diet planning, and food preparation and service; and related capacities and abilitiesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:EDUCATION: Such as may have been gained through: graduation from a college of recognized standing with specialization in nutrition and dietetics.
