Electrical Integration and Test Technician

We have a direct hire opening for an Electrical Integration and Test Technician in Byron with an innovative company that is developing large hybrid-electric cargo drones for commercial and DoD logistics. In this role, you will join the aircraft build crew, where you will fabricate and install wire harnesses, mount and wire propulsion and avionics components, perform functional tests and troubleshooting, support flight test readiness, and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are installed correctly and meet aircraft requirements.They are currently developing and flight testing the aircraft as part of the ongoing aircraft development and FAA certification process, so this role involves hands-on integration, modification, troubleshooting, and testing work as the aircraft continues evolving.Direct Hire Opportunity – Be on our client's payroll from Day 1!Pay and Shift Information:Pay Range: $45–$55/hour1st shift: 9 am–5 pm; Mon–Fri with overtime during the weekdays as neededTravel is required for this role: Spend 10-15% of your time out on road trips to support aircraft testing activitiesJob Duties of the Electrical Integration and Test Technician:Join the aircraft build team and perform electrical integration tasks across multiple aircraft build phasesFabricate, route, terminate, and install electrical harnesses for flight control, power distribution, propulsion, and avionics systemsComplete work both at the bench and directly on the aircraft during active assembly and integration activitiesRead and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, engineering drawings, work instructions, and build documentationUse tools such as soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, wire strippers, crimp tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic hand tools to complete electrical fabrication and testing activitiesInstall and terminate harnesses throughout the aircraft structure while ensuring proper routing, securing, shielding, and installation practices are followedWork with both low- and high-voltage electrical systems while following all safety requirements, including HV battery system precautionsPerform continuity checks, QA inspections, functional testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and rework activities on installed systemsDocument installation steps, inspection results, and testing activities to support traceability and internal quality requirementsWork closely with mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, flight test engineering, and integration teams throughout aircraft development and testing activitiesSupport troubleshooting, modification work, and installation changes as the aircraft continues evolving through prototype development and testingRemain flexible to shifting priorities and assist with other aircraft build, integration, and test activities as neededBenefits of the Electrical Integration and Test Technician:The employer pays up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for employees and 50% for dependents, with Kaiser and Blue Shield plans available401(k) plan with an employer match of up to 3%10 paid holidays plus a 1-week shutdown between Christmas and New Year'sFlexible Time Off policy with no set maximum, pending manager approvalThey offer an equity package as part of total compensation, including incentive stock optionsJob Requirements of the Electrical Integration and Test Technician:3–5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, avionics, aircraft electrical integration, or related aviation environmentsStrong experience fabricating, routing, terminating, and installing wire harnesses in prototype, development, modification, or aircraft integration environmentsAble to work with both low-voltage and high-voltage systems, including energized circuit testing and troubleshootingFamiliarity with aviation or military standards/specifications related to aircraft wiring, harness routing, labeling, securing, and component installationComfortable working from engineering drawings, schematics, technical documentation, and evolving build information within a prototype aircraft environmentKnowledge of aircraft-grade wiring tools, harness fabrication processes, and aerospace installation practicesExperience using diagnostic and electrical testing equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopesAble to work independently, troubleshoot installation/integration issues, and support aircraft build/test readiness activities with limited supervisionAPPLY NOW!
