Lab Technician
Role Description
As a team member of the ILC Resources, Jasper team the Lab Technician will perform daily and monthly calcium carbonate analyses; complete Certificates of Analysis (COAs); and monitor trends in process inputs, variables, and yields.
This is a day shift position with OT as required for workload and special projects. Role pays overtime for any hours 40.
Role Responsibilities
60%
Test production samples, create COAs. Using mechanical gradation (Ro-Tap), x-ray gradation, x-ray spectroscopy, wet chemistry, and other tools to analyze samples
20%
Auditing and improving the Quality System and Safe Feed Safe Food processes
10%
Monitor process trends, analyze data
10%
Cross-training, cleaning/housekeeping, improvement projects, other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ø Work Experience: Demonstrated ability to multi-task and adjust in real-time to moving targets. Must be detail oriented.
Ø Education: Some college in STEM field (or transferrable experience). Green Belt a plus.
Other Expectations
Ø Candidate must be able to climb ladders while using three points of contact, occasionally lift 50 pounds, wear PPE, walk over uneven ground, grasp, or reach equipment and be able to sit for long periods of time.
Annual Salary Range:
Hourly Salary: $22-28/hr. (plus profit sharing)
