If that question energizes you, step into a Plant Maintenance Mechanic role where your decisions keep a world-scale steel operation on track.Your MissionInstall, maintain, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems—hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission—plus conveyors, cranes, and related mobile equipment.Use standard and specialty tools and operate pendant-controlled/overhead cranes and forklifts to complete precision maintenance.Jump in to assist production operations when needed to protect throughput.Handle tasks at elevation and, when required, in confined spaces while adhering to strict safety practices.Shift between solo assignments and team efforts with other maintenance technicians.Navigate multiple plant zones where conditions may be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.What It TakesHigh School Diploma or GED.Pass required assessment test(s).Minimum 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience or equivalent education.
