Be a part of an organization that works to make a difference in the lives of its patients by encouraging you to be at your best every day.Position ResponsibilitiesGreeting and escorting patients to exam rooms; preparing for physician's visit by obtaining initial information and vital signsChecking the patient's medical record for pertinent data; reviewing and maintaining accurate patient information/demographic dataInspecting exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition; stocking and maintaining rooms and clinic stations with adequate suppliesAssisting the physician with exams and proceduresOrdering/scheduling any x-rays, tests, or surgeries that are neededAssisting with the removal of staples, sutures, and changing of dressings as necessaryDrawing up and assisting with injectionsEntering data into proper systemsEducating patients and their caregivers regarding specific care as instructed by the physicianMaintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all HIPAA rules and regulationsRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredValid Nursing License is requiredOne year of prior clinical experience in a fast-paced clinical setting is requiredStrong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomyExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsAbility to effectively communicate and interact with patients, families, and staff from diverse backgroundsKnowledge of personal computer applications and Electronic Medical RecordThe ability to travel between all ORA clinics is requiredFlexibility to work occasional evenings and Saturdays when neededORA Orthopedics is the Quad Cities' largest and most comprehensive orthopedic provider, proudly offering an integrated continuum of orthopedic care that includes orthopedic sub-specialty clinics, walk-in care at our Urgent OrthoCARE clinics, diagnostic imaging, bracing, physical therapy, pharmacy, and outpatient surgery.
