As a leader in pediatric therapy, we provide a purpose-driven environment where your skills and compassion truly make a difference.ResponsibilitiesProvides skilled speech therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and byassessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.• Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exerciseprograms; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment/ follow upprograms.• Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regardingpatient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapyas well as discharge summaries.• Maintains patient records confidentially.• Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.• Complies with the applicable State Speech Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulationsAdditional Responsibilities:• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations perprotocols.• Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.• Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.• Complies with all company policies and procedures.• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and otherprofessionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.• Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.• Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.• Attends meetings as requested.• Performs other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Demonstrate knowledge of principles, techniques, materials and equipment in pediatric speechtherapy.• Ability to evaluate a patient's speech therapy needs and communicate the patient's needs tothe legal guardian and/or appropriate parties involved in the patient's care.• Ability to communicate with a high degree of written and verbal communication skills• Demonstrate strong organizational and interpersonal skills.• Knowledge of CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.• Thorough knowledge of speech therapy principles and practices.Demonstrate working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs)Consult and collaborate with School staff and families in regards to students' speech and language deficits• Conduct initial screenings as well as comprehensive evaluations in the area of speech and language to determine students need for services or need of dismissal from services• Participate in the IEP process in developing present levels of performance, goals and objectives, and treatment recommendations for students qualifying for speech therapy services• Provide speech therapy sessions through the use of current best practices based on prescribed services in the IEP• Maintain all documentation required by the district and ASHA's code of ethics including, but not limited to, daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual IEPsQualificationsEducation: Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Licensure: Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, or license eligibleCertification: Current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) as a Speech-Language Pathologist. ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) who are completing or nearing completion of their CF year are also encouraged to apply.Skills: Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
