Network Engineer
Overview:
In this role you will design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure to ensure performance and security. You will work within the IT team and collaborate across business functions while taking ownership of issues from start to finish. The position emphasizes autonomy, proactive problem solving, and contributing wherever needed in a fast-paced environment. You will support upgrades, documentation, and continuous improvements to networking capabilities, making a meaningful impact on reliability and operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, monitor, and support enterprise network infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues including routing, switching, wireless, and connectivity
- Maintain and optimize LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless environments
- Support network performance, reliability, and security initiatives
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, operations, and business teams to resolve technical challenges
- Participate in network upgrades, hardware refreshes, and new technology deployments
- Create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Provide proactive recommendations for network improvements and efficiencies
- Support incident response and problem resolution efforts as needed
- Take ownership of issues through completion, regardless of scope or complexity
Key requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues independently
- Experience with network monitoring and performance management tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPN technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
