Sr. Lab Technician

3dB Labs is a growing Defense Contractor focusing on Digital Signal Processing Software and Hardware with a diverse customer base. We are looking for Senior Lab Technician to join our production team as we grow and scale our capabilities.We are looking for an organized and hands-on Sr. Lab Technician to support the setup, operation, and maintenance of labs used for product development and testing. The role focuses on lab infrastructure, test station setup, equipment calibration, and day-to-day technical support for engineering teams.The Sr. Lab Technician will work alongside the team to help us build out and fulfill our ongoing product needs.ResponsibilitiesSet up, configure, and maintain lab environments, including benches, racks, and test stationsOperate and maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, VNAs, power supplies, thermal chambers, and other specialized equipmentSupport engineers during development, validation, and debug activitiesPerform basic hand soldering of electrical components, and cable constructionEnsure proper calibration, certification, and maintenance of lab equipmentManage lab inventory, including cables, connectors, antennas, fixtures, electrical components, PC hardware, consumables, etcMaintain lab documentation, test procedures, safety guidelines, and equipment logsTroubleshoot lab hardware, test setups, and measurement inconsistenciesEnforce lab safety, ESD coordination and compliance, and best practicesCoordinate with vendors for equipment repair, upgrades, and calibration servicesRequirementsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology or similarExperience with Linux a plusPractical understanding of RF fundamentals and measurement techniquesHands-on experience working and maintaining an electronics lab environmentFamiliarity with lab test equipment including DMMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopesCapable of working independently and training jr. team membersTechnical writing skills a plus5-10 years experienceUS citizenship is required for all of our positions.3dB Labs is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, protected veteran status, disability, age, or other legally protected status.Powered by JazzHRUZK7TQPUST
