We help people love the way they look and feel for their most important moments by delivering personalized products and services through our convenient network of stores and e-commerce sites.About The JobReporting directly to the Director of Corporate Tax, the Direct Tax Analyst will assist the tax team with all aspects of federal, state, and international income tax, including but not limited to compliance, reporting, audit and appeal support, tax accounting and tax planning and structuring. This is an opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of Corporate Income Tax while operating in a highly visible role within a best-in-class tax team. This is a remote position working from a home office in the Houston area with flexibility to work onsite at our Houston corporate office on occasion for initial training and onboarding, and to participate in occasional team meetings and events.What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities Basic understanding of federal, state, local and international tax concepts. Assist in the preparation of certain quarterly and annual tax provision processes, deferred tax computations, and related financial statement disclosures and reporting requirements. Assist with tax compliance tasks for all international, federal, and state income tax returns including preparation of returns, quarterly estimates, annual extensions, and related calculations. Assist with account reconciliations for federal, state, and international tax accounts. Provide support for federal, state, and international income tax audit requests and notices. Assist with preparing memoranda and supporting documentation for routine and complex tax technical issues. Research and analyze tax issues that may impact the Company. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper tax reporting and documentation. Coordinate with external tax advisors, as needed. Any other duties as assigned.What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting required (CPA readiness a plus). 1-3 years of experience within a corporate tax department or public accounting firm. Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel and Word. OneSource Tax Provision software, PeopleSoft, Hyperion Essbase, and HFM experience is a plus. Experience using data analytic technologies (e.g., Alteryx) is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to effectively analyze, organize, and prioritize workflow according to internal and external deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Uncompromised integrity and work ethic.
