Shipping and Receiving CoordinatorLocation: Oak Ridge, TNOnsite Flexibility: OnsiteContract Details:Position Type: ContractJob Summary: This role requires the performance of verification of all incoming shipments for correct packing slips, bills of lading, visible inspection criteria, and other relevant data. Communicates discrepancies with Procurement and other appropriate staff to resolve issues. Verifies kind, count, and condition for inbound and outbound shipments. Performs routine, daily enterprise resource planning system data entry and resolves minor documentation errors. Ensures incoming parts and materials are tagged appropriately with stocking labels and forwarded to the appropriate staging areas. Recommends best shipping methods to reduce costs while ensuring the accurate delivery of packages within the specified delivery schedule. Processes returns as requested and arranged by Procurement via purchase order transactions. Reviews and interprets all shipping instructions, government specifications, and or internal standards related to packaging. Regularly utilizes hand tools, measuring equipment, and associated warehouse equipment to complete tasks. Promotes safety policies within the department and overall organization.
