Splunk Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:Must Have Technical/Functional SkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience in data analytics, dashboard development, or performance monitoring.Strong hands-on experience with Splunk, including SPL query development and dashboard creation.Strong SQL skills with experience integrating SQL queries into Tableau dashboards.Experience building performance monitoring dashboards and anomaly detection solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with engineering teamsRoles & Responsibilities:Dashboard Development & MonitoringDesign and develop custom dashboards in Splunk and Tableau to monitor application performance, feature health, and system stability.Build performance tracking frameworks focused on identifying anomalies prior to consumer release.Develop automated monitoring solutions to proactively detect performance degradations and functional issues.Splunk Analytics & Query DevelopmentUtilize Splunk's Search Processing Language (SPL) to create advanced searches, dashboards, alerts, and reports.Develop custom Splunk queries to analyze logs, track feature usage, detect bugs, and monitor live-feature performance.Implement real-time and near real-time alerting mechanisms to support rapid issue identification and resolutionTableau Dashboarding & SQL IntegrationDevelop interactive Tableau dashboards using SQL queries to visualize performance metrics and operational insights.Create data triggers, alerts, and automated reporting mechanisms within Tableau to notify stakeholders of anomalies or performance deviations.Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across reporting platforms.Performance Monitoring & Issue DetectionMonitor live features and system performance to detect bugs, anomalies, and regressions.Analyze system and application data to identify root causes and support engineering teams in issue resolution.Collaborate with Service Engineering, Product Integrity, and development teams to improve monitoring coverage and product reliability.Continuous ImprovementEnhance monitoring frameworks and analytics capabilities to improve anomaly detection accuracy.Recommend improvements in logging, instrumentation, and telemetry to strengthen observability.Support proactive quality assurance and release readiness initiatives.Salary Range: $70,000-$130,000 a year
