THE OPPORTUNITYWe are partnering with a national, multi-state insurance defense law firm to recruit a strategic Chief Financial Officer.This is a high-impact executive leadership role, not a traditional finance manager position. The CFO will work directly with firm leadership to drive financial strategy, profitability, and operational performance across multiple offices.We welcome candidates who are already CFOs or senior law firm finance leaders who are clearly CFO‑ready.WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FORFirmwide financial strategy, planning, and forecastingInsurance defense profitability and margin managementOversight of: Utilization, realization, billing, rate structures, write-offs, and collectionsFull accounting leadership (GL, billing, AR/AP, trust, audits)Cash flow and banking relationshipsPartner economics and compensation analysisFinancial oversight of multi-state operationsLeading and scaling the finance teamREQUIRED EXPERIENCE Prior finance leadership experience within a law firmTraditional standalone law firm environment requiredExposure to insurance defense or rate-driven litigationStrong understanding of law firm financial metrics:Utilization, realization, collections, profitabilityExperience supporting multi-office / multi-state operationsMiami-based or willing to relocate (hybrid only)CPA strongly preferred (MBA a plus)IDEAL BACKGROUNDStrategic finance partner to owners or partnersComfortable advising senior leadershipUnderstands law firm billing and economics deeplyStrong executive presence and communication skillsBrings both strategic insight and operational discipline
