We move fast, ship often, and design for reliability because our work shows up in front of real users.The RoleWe are looking for a Node and React developer who can deliver middleware and the web tooling around it. You will build and maintain APIs, integrations, event driven services, admin dashboards, and operator interfaces that connect frontends to hardware systems, third party services, and internal platforms.This is not a “ticket only” role. You build what needs building. You have shipped something real. You understand product ecosystems, not just code. You can talk to customers and stakeholders without breaking into hives. You do not need permission to fix things.  What You’ll Build Middleware services that sit between frontends, devices, vendors, and internal systems REST APIs and real time endpoints for web apps and operational tooling Admin and operator dashboards for monitoring, control, and support workflows Integrations with third party platforms, identity providers, payments, messaging, and media pipelines Event driven flows using queues, pub sub, and background workers Authentication, authorization, and role based access for internal and client facing tools Observability that makes systems easy to operate, debug, and improve Responsibilities Design and implement middleware and API layers in Node.js and TypeScript Build React or Next.js interfaces that support operations and client workflows Own features end to end, from requirements to shipping, monitoring, and iteration Write clean, tested, maintainable code with pragmatic documentation Collaborate with product, design, and field teams to translate real constraints into working software Improve system performance, reliability, and developer velocity over time Required Experience Strong Node.js experience, ideally TypeScript, with Express, Fastify, NestJS, or similar Strong React experience, ideally Next.js, with a focus on production delivery Experience building APIs, middleware, and integration heavy systems Solid understanding of authentication and authorization patterns, JWT, OAuth, RBAC Comfortable with SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL Familiar with queues and event driven systems, examples include Service Bus, SQS, Kafka, RabbitMQ Practical testing habits, unit tests, integration tests, and sensible CI workflows Comfort working in ambiguous environments and making smart tradeoffs Nice to Have WebSockets, realtime systems, or streaming interfaces Media pipelines or video systems, FFmpeg, WebRTC, RTSP, GStreamer, or similar Docker and container deployment workflows Cloud experience, Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP is fine Basic DevOps skills, logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, alerting Experience building tools for hardware adjacent systems or venue deployments What Success Looks Like You ship reliable middleware that other teams can build on confidently You create interfaces that make operations smoother and reduce support load You proactively fix issues and remove friction without waiting to be asked You improve performance and stability while keeping development velocity high Working Style Ownership, urgency, and high standards Clear communication with technical and non technical stakeholders Comfort jumping between frontend, backend, and integrations as needed Bias toward shipping, with enough structure to keep systems stable
