Then come grow with us!About the Role: Extraction TechnicianThe Extraction Technicianis responsible forthe production of cannabis extracts and products;extracting, refining, and purifying cannabinoids removed from plant material into concentrated forms using various solvents. Theextraction technicianmayalsoassistin the filling and packaging of medical cannabis derived products, as well ascleaning, loggings, andmaintaininglaboratory equipment. Excellent work environment with a full benefit package offered including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, holidays, pet insurance, and other paid leaves of absence.How youll make a difference:Responsible forsafely and effectively performing all methods of cannabis extraction, winterization, filtration, ethanolrecoveryand distillationin accordance withstandard operating procedures.Preparesandoperatesequipment for processing, which may include but is not limited to an extractor, solvent reclamation, and extract refinement; uses equipment to extract and refine plant materialsin accordance withCompany standard operating procedures and policies.Prepares formulations according to batch records andassistsin other formulation related tasks assigned by Extraction Manager.Performs inventory control actions, including, but not limited to, weighing, labeling, packaging, product logging, and recording all measurable datain accordance withstate regulations.Adhere to specific quality control SOPsregardingprocedural operations and quality of product produced; verify quality control standards are being met throughout the process.Maintains a clean, compliant, and safe work environment; responsible for reporting any necessary compliance or safety concerns promptly.Meets daily goals, extractionobjectives, and KPIs set by management.Assists with other tasks as assigned by the Extraction Manager.Skills to be Successful:High school diploma or equivalentAssociate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related sciences field preferred.Minimum of 2 years of laboratory and/or production experience strongly preferred.Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary focus and attention to detail.Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleaguesAbility to work independently and as part of a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practicesAdditional QualificationsMust be ofthe minimumage required by state regulations.Ability to pass state mandated background check(s)Ability to understand and apply basic laboratory terminology and conceptsComputers and TechnologyProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel,PowerPointandOutlookStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressfulenvironmentMust be able to interpret and follow complex written, verbal, and technicalinstructionsPerks & Benefits:Full suite of medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid parental leave401 (k)Paid Time OffShort Term and Long-Term DisabilityEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee life insurance and supplemental lifeSpouse and child life and ADD&DPet insuranceFSA and HSA available*Based on eligibility.Schedule:Available to work Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm ET, with flexibility for mandatory overtime asrequired to meet business needs ****Subject to change as business needs.Work Environment and Physical Demands:The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
