Machine Operator

Machine Operator Location: Elkton, Maryland(Onsite) Pay: $18.00 Per Hour Duration: Temp-to-Hire Position Overview Our client in Elkton, MD is seeking a Machine Operator to join their team. This position follows a 12-hour night shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. During the initial two-week training period, candidates will work on a day shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Essential Duties: Review and follow production work orders to prepare rubber compounds accurately. Gather required raw materials and weigh ingredients using digital scales according to work order specifications. Use provided reference guides and standard formulas to verify material quantities. Move materials through various stages of the manufacturing process, including mixing, extrusion, forming, and packaging. Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently. Operate a forklift as needed (willing to train, certification is a plus) Package finished products into boxes, bags, or containers and prepare them for shipment. Perform routine quality checks to ensure product specifications are met. Maintain cleanliness of production areas, breakrooms, and restrooms. Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications & Skills: Must complete a basic math, reading and spelling assessment. Ability to read and understand work orders and production instructions. Ability to use digital scales and follow written procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Prior manufacturing or machine operating experience is helpful but not required. Ability to lift over 50lbs.
