Materials Analyst
JOB SUMMARY: The Materials Analyst (Engineering Project & Lab Coordination) supports capital projects and laboratory operations within a technical testing environment, with a primary focus on project coordination and vendor management. This role also contributes to engineering and lab support activities, assisting in the development and implementation of advanced testing systems while ensuring efficient workflows and compliance with standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Coordinate multiple vendors involved in building and implementing test systems • Manage project schedules, documentation, and progress tracking • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders • Support procurement activities including quotes, purchase orders, and timelines • Monitor and report project performance, costs, and timelines • Assist in the development of lab testing systems aligned with ASTM standards • Create and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) documentation • Support hardware/software setup and contribute to process improvements • Help streamline laboratory workflows and testing processes REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field (preferred) • 2–5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or technical environments • Strong organizational and coordination skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Experience with ASTM or ISO testing environments • Experience in lab operations or test systems • Vendor coordination or project support experience • Exposure to CAD, 3D printing, or equipment/system buildouts Education: Bachelors Degree
