At Little Gems, we're on a mission to prove that healthy food can be fun, fast, and seriously craveable. We serve up inspired salads and bowls with bold flavors, limited processed ingredients, made-from-scratch everything, and a pop of personality. Healthy food isn't boring—and neither are we!We will opening a location in Sawmill Market in early March 2026. Currently, our hiring needs are at both Park Square Market and Sawmill Market. We are looking for one, potentially two people for Park Square to work under our kitchen lead, and an opening team at Sawmill to work under the direction of our chef. There may be crossover between the two locations at times.About You: You love working with fresh ingredients, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, and know that teamwork makes the dream work. (aka, bowl boss and salad sorcerer...)What You'll Be DoingCooking & Assembling—preparing bowls, salads, and toppings with precision and speedPrepping Ingredients—chopping fresh produce, mixing dressings, preparing proteins, beans, and grains, and making sure everything is stocked and readyMonitoring inventory levelsKeeping It Clean—following food safety standards and maintaining a spotless kitchenWorking as a Team—supporting your crew and making sure every shift runs smoothlyBringing the Energy—because a great kitchen runs on great vibesJob RequirementsTo thrive as our Cook, you'll need:Experience: Previous kitchen, prep, or culinary experience is preferred.Skills: Basic knife skills, a strong understanding of food prep and cooking techniques, and a commitment to food quality and consistency.Stamina: The ability to stay on your feet, move quickly, and lift up to 50 lbs—this is a fast-paced kitchen.Food Safety: You are a current New Mexico Certified Food Handler, or you are willing to get certified.Organization: Ability to keep your station clean, stocked, and prepped for success.Attention to Detail: Every ingredient matters, and consistency is key.Mindset: A positive, team-player attitude.A Friendly Demeanor: There's no hiding in this kitchen, guests will be talking to you, so you must be able to engage in a friendly, helpful manner.Availability: Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.What's In It for You?Compensation starts at $15/hr plus tips, with the potential for a higher effective hourly rate based on tip volume.Flexible scheduleStaff mealsReady to Cook Up Something Great?If you said yes, yes, and yes to the above, we'd love to meet you!
