Job Title: Technical Services Manager Locations: Tucson, AZ | Los Angeles, CA | San Francisco, CA | Denver, CO | Seattle, WA Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Compensation: $103,000–$136,500 annually + discretionary bonus + $140/month phone allowance Work Arrangement: Remote with regional travel (onsite candidates preferred for Tucson/Phoenix market) Travel: 30–40% regional travel (reimbursed)Position OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead Retro-Commissioning and Commissioning projects focused on energy performance and building optimization. This role oversees project execution, technical delivery, team leadership, and client collaboration while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with quality and performance goals.The ideal candidate will have experience with Energy Engineering, Commissioning, MEP systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS), and project leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesProject LeadershipLead Retro-Commissioning and Commissioning projects from planning through closeoutManage schedules, budgets, KPIs, staffing plans, and project execution strategiesMonitor project progress and proactively resolve risks or constraintsTrack project costs and resource utilizationTeam & Technical LeadershipMentor and support technical team membersOversee MEP, BAS, controls, and commissioning activitiesSupport troubleshooting, system optimization, and issue resolutionEnsure achievement of energy performance objectivesCollaboration & AdministrationPartner with project teams, engineers, construction teams, and trade partnersCommunicate project updates and coordinate technical activitiesReview project expenses and complete project closeout documentationMaintain compliance with company safety standards and proceduresQualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field5+ years of Energy Engineering, Commissioning, or Retro-Commissioning experienceHands-on experience with:MEP systemsBuilding Automation Systems (BAS)Controls design, programming, and optimizationExperience with cloud-based commissioning platformsStrong leadership, communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skillsMicrosoft Office proficiencyPreferred:CCP or CEM certificationEI, PE, PMP, or related commissioning certificationsBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company match120 hours PTO + 9 paid holidaysMileage and travel reimbursementMonthly phone allowanceWhy Work With Wheeler Staffing Partners?Wheeler Staffing Partners connects top talent with leading organizations and provides opportunities that support career growth, innovation, and long-term success.
