This role provides a critical and important level of support to ensure projects run smoothly. The SPCs main responsibilities include proposal creation, order processing, and vendor follow up. Additional tasks include maintaining status reports, verifying acknowledgments, processing warranty claims, and scheduling repairs. The SPC will also assist with creating CAP specifications and image books.Essential Functions:Preparation of proposals for product and servicesWork directly with vendors to obtain necessary specification and pricing informationSubmit clean orders to our vendors, collecting and verifying order acknowledgements, processing proforma payments, obtaining tracking information and ensuring products are received by the warehouse or by the end userCommunications with internal team members regarding lead times, order status and production dates to ensure ship dates align with end user move in scheduleSmaller orders, scheduling delivery and installation can be shared between PC, Sales, and CAM’s. Works with Project Management and Sales to coordinate the completion of installation documentation and ensure punchlist items are completed in a timely mannerPosition RequirementsTeam player that has a can-do attitude and is willing to go above and beyond for our customersSuperior oral and written communication skills in addition to strong editing and proofreading skillsMust be able to think strategically, analytically, and creativelyMust be highly organized and responsive to internal and external deadlinesMust be highly motivated, personable, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyNeeds to be able to conduct basic financial analysis such as vendor net & sell discountsAbility to solve problems within established scope of work, budgets & schedulesA proactive self-starter with the ability to work within a team environment or independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office required, Core, CAP and Teknion experience a plus3+ year in the contract furniture industry and knowledge of contract furniture products and manufacturing preferred
