Position Title: SECURITY GUARD
Location: ABILENE, TX
FLSA Class: NON-EXEMPT
Responsible to: SENIOR HSE MANAGER
Position Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of a critical infrastructure facility. This role ensures strict access control, continuous monitoring, and rapid response to security incidents while supporting compliance with data protection and operational security standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Control and monitor access to the company's property, verifying credentials and maintaining access logs
Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas to identify security risks or unsafe conditions
Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and security equipment; respond to alerts promptly
Enforce facility security policies, procedures, and visitor protocols
Perform bag checks, badge checks, and escort visitors, contractors, and vendors as required
Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances in accordance with established procedures
Document incidents, irregularities, and daily activities through detailed reports
Coordinate with staff, management, and emergency responders as needed
Support compliance with regulatory, client, and corporate security requirements
Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented presence at all times
Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior security experience or law enforcement required
Basic computer skills for access systems, reporting, and monitoring tools
Ability to follow strict procedures and maintain confidentiality
Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as required
Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
Ability to work in a secure, controlled-access environment
