STEM Tutor

STEMCore LLC is hiring part-time STEM Tutors for Summer 2026 and the Fall 2026 semester. STEMCore is a student-founded tutoring company that connects high school and college students with current college student tutors who recently succeeded in the same or similar courses.STEMCore Tutors provide individualized 1-on-1 academic support in subjects such as biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, calculus, pre-calculus, algebra, statistics, AP courses, Regents courses, and other STEM/pre-health classes. Tutors help students understand difficult concepts, prepare for exams, work through practice problems, and build confidence in challenging courses.This role is ideal for current college students or recent graduates who are strong in one or more STEM subjects and enjoy helping others learn. Tutors work with students using their actual course materials whenever possible, allowing sessions to be personalized to each student’s class, professor, teacher, or exam style.Responsibilities include:Provide 1-on-1 tutoring in approved subject areas.Prepare for tutoring sessions using student-provided course materials when available.Explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.Help students with exam preparation, homework support, practice problems, and study strategies.Adapt tutoring style to each student’s needs and learning preferences.Communicate professionally with students, families, and STEMCore leadership.Maintain reliability, punctuality, and professionalism for scheduled sessions.Qualifications:Current college student or recent college graduate.Strong performance in one or more STEM, math, science, AP, Regents, or college-level courses.Ability to explain academic material clearly and approachably.Strong communication skills.Reliable, organized, and professional.Prior tutoring, mentoring, TA, or teaching experience is preferred but not required.
