This position requires specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient. This position operates independently, under limited supervision. Internal contacts include patient care staff and management. External contacts include patients, families, physicians, outside health care providers, and other organizations.RequirementsGraduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Training programRegistered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory CareLicensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with the State of WashingtonRegistry eligibility notice to sit for RRT exam from NBRC requiredAdvanced cardiac life support credential required within 90 days of hire depending on age of the population served: ACLS, NRP, PALSHealth Care Provider level CPR certificationMinimum one (1) year of acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care as CRT preferredAbout Good Samaritan HospitalMultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital is a 388-bed acute-care hub serving Puyallup and East Pierce County. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $37.29 - $61.64 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
