Job title: Forklift Operator Location: Stanley, VA 22851Client: Door Manufacturing CompanyDuration: 3 Months (Temporary to Direct)Shift: Day Shift (4.00 AM to 2.30 PM) / Evening Shift- 3.00PM to 1.30 AMPay Rate: $16 per hour on w2RequiredAdvanced knowledge of reading/interpreting schedules, pulls accurate materials/door skins from main whse, knowledge of material locations, takes skins to line, skin flipper, or cutback saw. Restocks leftover materials/components. Ability to manuver lift truck safely in tight spaces and recover/return materials to racks.Advanced knowledge of SKU's, material cut requirements, and coordinating material flow to/off skin lines. Forklift knowledge and safety procedures, order tracking process and documents, door and core types, use of tape measure. pull requirements for materials/doors from main warehouse.Forklift operating skills to load/unload, lift, move, place, stack raw materials and doors, navigates throughout plant, including populated and small areas, performs safety procedures, read/interpret schedules/tickets/shipping documents, Use measuring tape - to 16th.Little to no supervision, run from schedule, and flexible to coordinate Hot Rush/Remake demands. Verify correct materials (species and size) are brought to the lines.Constantly getting on/off lift truck to manually lift/slide/flip materials or doors (max. 50 lbs.), bending, lifting, twisting - Picking up materials and disposing as necessary.Operates fork lifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials. Responsibilities also include documenting and maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
