This role is responsible for operating heavy machinery and assisting with material handling processes to ensure efficient recycling operations.In addition to equipment operation, this position includes magnet work, unloading materials, checking all roll-off boxes, and moving materials throughout the yard. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and productivity in a fast-paced industrial environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate excavator, material handler, loaders, and other heavy equipment to move and process recyclable materialsScrap yard experiencePerform magnet work to sort and separate materialsUnload incoming materials and inspect contents for accuracy and safetyCheck and monitor all roll-off boxes to ensure proper usage and material flowMove and organize materials throughout the yardLoad and unload materials into processing equipment (shredders, shears, balers)Conduct pre-operation inspections and basic equipment maintenanceMonitor equipment and report malfunctions or safety concernsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all safety procedures and wear required PPECollaborate with team members to meet production goalsPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferredExperience: Experience operating heavy equipment in recycling, warehouse, or industrial environments preferredSkills:Ability to safely operate machineryStrong attention to detailAbility to follow instructions in a fast-paced environmentDependable with a strong work ethicCertifications: Forklift certification preferred but not requiredPreferred SkillsBilingual (English/Spanish)Customer service experience or strong interpersonal skillsKey CompetenciesSafety AwarenessReliability and AccountabilityMultitaskingEquipment OperationTeam CollaborationPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift 30–50 lbs regularlyStand for extended periodsFrequent bending, lifting, and repetitive motionWork EnvironmentIndustrial recycling facility with exposure to:Heavy machineryLoud noiseDust and outdoor elementsVarying temperaturesPPE required at all times.About the CompanyTexmore Incorporated and its subsidiaries are committed to providing recycling solutions that promote sustainability, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and compassion.
