Hands-on responsibility for backup/recovery, replication, performance, security control evidence in eMASS, and the annual scheduled failover exercise.Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister PostgreSQL / Aurora across primary, alternate, and TEST/DEV environmentsMonitor performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks proactivelyApply quarterly database patches in accordance with DoD STIGsMaintain backup and recovery proceduresMonitor replication between primary and alternate sitesSupport annual scheduled failover exercise; produce Contingency Exercise ReportMaintain database security controls and produce eMASS evidenceMaintain database documentation (TTPs) in configuration managementActive SECRET clearanceUS CitizenBachelor's degreePostgreSQL certificationDoD 8570 IAT-II (Security+ CE or equivalent)8+ years database administration3+ years PostgreSQL at production scaleAWS Certified Data EngineerAurora/RDS experienceDoD STIG database experiencePrior Oracle background (legacy familiarity helpful)Powered by JazzHR
