ResponsibilityResponsible for field assignmentsCommunicate with Foreman to understand the plan for the dayEnsure all tools needed for the days' work are ready and availableDuties can include:Grade layout and grade checkingSpotter for equipment operators, trucksLevel earth to fine grade specificationsBuild formsInstall pipe, manholes, catch basinsManual preparation and clean-up of siteShovel, rake, sweepConcrete workPainting and sealingRun plate whackers and jumping jacksAssisting in building demo and clean upAssist operator in keeping equipment tracks cleanAssist other craft workersAssist with all tasks to ensure a quality project by Tapani IncResponsible for maintenance of the job siteInstall, maintain erosion controlEnsure all small tools and equipment are utilized correctly, maintained and kept clean on job siteClean up job site at end of every shiftResponsible for Site SafetyEnsure OSHA standards are personally adhered toUnderstand the safety risk with each task and ensure proper safety methods are adhered toEnsure all safety training is currentResponsible for upholding the Integrity of Tapani IncEnsure an atmosphere of team work and utilization of each crew members abilitiesMaintain efficiency and quality throughout the projectOral Communication - Listens and gets clarification.Consistently at work and on timeAlways seek ways to learn and grow personally and professionallyWork Ethic - works hard, gives 100% Job Requirements and QualificationsHigh school education or equivalentBe able to listen and follow direction of supervisorKnow and recognize basic hand tools (ie- spade shovels, flat shovels, rock rakes)Must be aware of surroundings of self and coworkersLift heavy loads and navigate construction job site terrainMust be able to hand dig and backfill holesHand eye coordination and balance.
