Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible.Job DescriptionWe have a career opportunity for a Program Manager with Traffic Incident Management experience to be part of our local team that works on innovative, practical solutions that enhance the safety of motorists in Georgia.In this role and under the direction of the Project Manager you will:Manage on-site activities for small programs/projects, tasks or subtasks of a larger projectTrain responders in the National Traffic Incident Management Responder (SHRP2) courseTrain emergency responders in standard operating guidelinesFacilitate traffic incident management teams throughout these statesParticipate in the management of the Towing and Recovery Incident Programs (TRIP) What You'll Be DoingCollaborates with Project Manager to establish project schedule and budget, and monitors progress in meeting schedule and budget requirementsDevelops PowerPoint presentations and training materialsDelivers presentations to large groupsPrimary instructor for various emergency transportation operations training coursesEstablishing relationships with high level management within government agenciesFacilitates statewide TIM (Traffic Incident Management) TeamsReviews and documents traffic incident management standard operating guidelinesFosters successful working relationships between various agenciesObtains statewide open road policiesCreates strategic incident management plansConducts after incident reviews of major incidentsIn-field and classroom training of traffic incident management principlesDevelop procedures for clear communication protocols between various response agencies (fire, police, towing and recovery, emergency medical services)Develops project documents, processes, and procedures required to support quality control and final project deliverablesCollaborates with Project Manager to determine number of hours required for successful completion of project tasks. Anticipates project staffing needs, identifies and interviews available personnel, and makes staffing assignments in accordance with schedule requirementsEstablishes objectives and conducts performance appraisals for direct reportsChairs job meetings; prepares and submits summary of project progress and pending issues to Project ManagerSubmits monthly reports to client and responds to client issues and expectationsAssists Project Manager in pricing and negotiating changes to the scope of work with the client and subcontractorsAnticipates problems and works with client, other stakeholders and Project Manager to identify and implement corrective actionsKeeps client and Project Manager informed of the day-to-day activities of the projectMaintains accurate documentation of job progress through daily logs and other reportsPerforms other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriateRequired Qualifications And Experience4-year degree in a technical or construction-related field (or equivalent) OR 10+ years related work experience is required10+ years proven field operations experience in traffic incident managementLeadership / Management experienceExperience in Emergency Response including Public Safety, Safety Service Patrol, or Wrecker Fleet Operation and ManagementProven ability to perform in a lead capacityExcellent written and oral communications skillsFamiliarity of industry practices and regulations are requiredStrong communication skills certification/training in developing and providing training to traffic incident respondersExperience giving professional, formal presentations using PowerPoint or equivalent softwareExperience working in a Windows-based environment; skills using Outlook, Word and ExcelPreferred Qualifications And ExperienceEnrollment in PM certification program is preferredSecurity Clearance RequirementNoneThis position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.For more than 80 years, our experts have designed and delivered the critical infrastructure that connects and protects communities around the world.
