CDL Driver - Class A

Job Overview Evo Logistics has immediate job openings for Truck Drivers - Class A CDL. Schedule: Full-time; PM shift Duties include to safely and efficiently follow the assigned route schedule, to operate a tractor/trailer, to make local deliveries (up to 130-mile radius) and pick up from local sites (up to 130-mile radius) of predominantly seafood and produce to our warehouse distribution site and customer locations. Obtains proper authorization for all deliveries/pick-ups. Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, fuel the truck as needed, and report any problems or issues to supervisor. Must ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation (DOT) checklist and report maintenance problems and accidents in a timely manner. Assist with loading and unloading, if necessary. Our drivers return home daily. REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. License to drive – valid Class A CDL Driver License - with a clean driving record Must pass background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen Ability to read, write and communicate in English Flexibility – overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays Touch freight – may need to lift, push or move product weighing as much as 70 pounds Must know how to use a Forklift Pass the required background check Valid Class A CDL license, with 2 years of exp. High school diploma or GED is required. Must be at least 22+ years of age Primarily working in an outdoor environment; may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions Extended periods of time sitting during driving transport equipment; repeatedly climbing up and down from transport equipment Flexible work hours with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays Appropriate gear MUST be used for the position Safety vests and Steel-Toe Boots / Slip Resistant Boots (mandatory) EXPERIENCE: Operating trucks requiring a Class A CDL license (e.g., driving forwards, driving backwards, maneuvering in tight spaces, dropping and hooking, operating landing gear, or backing into docks and confined spaces, etc.) Operating a tractor-trailer in different conditions (e.g., highway driving, side/local roads, city/country, maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.) JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Forklift experience Seafood and Produce experience (preferably) Spanish - Bilingual preferably Must have a safe driving record Be able to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 75 LBS. and fulfill all physical requirements of the job. A background in Warehouse operations and logistics, including shipping, receiving and delivery is preferred.
