We are looking for a self-motivated, team oriented, customer focused individual to join our inside sales team. In addition to soliciting new business (via phone), this individual will provide support to existing customers by creating quotes and doing limited purchasing.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide prompt and courteous service both on the phone, in person and via email
Drive business growth through customer service and satisfaction
Support outside sales team
Support and nurture strong relationships with strategic accounts
Identify product requests, source and prepare quotes for customer inquiries
Identify and generate quality leads
Network to develop customer referrals
Respond swiftly and courteously to customer inquiries or needs
Identify and source customer requested product inquiries.
Work directly with customers creating product solutions and managing lead times.
Provide timely and competitive quotes
Learn, understand, and apply pricing strategies
Follow through on quotes/orders directly with customer
Collaboratively work sales email inbox with intentional prioritizing
Manage and dynamically prioritize customer requests -delegating appropriately.
Enter customer orders / quotes in POS system.
Support counter staff with direct sales as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required
Post high school education preferred
Proven direct or indirect successful sales experience.
Excellent written /phone and face to face communication skills
Ability to work accurately, with strong attention to detail
Ability to follow directions and specific process steps
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to use a computer for part inquiries, ordering and arranging shipping
Skilled with POS software programs including excel and teams
Highly motivated, personable and results- driven
Mechanical aptitude and/or knowledge of fasteners would be preferred
Solid analytical skills to identify customer needs and align them to product offerings
Demonstrated organizational skills; effective multi-tasking
Profitability and financially minded
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
