Client Accounting Manager About The Role Looking to step out of traditional accounting compliance and take true ownership of a new growth initiative with a clear path to partnership? Beginning with specialized Family Office Support and Business Management, this group is fully backed by firm ownership and built to scale into a major service line. We are seeking an entrepreneurial Accounting Manager to lead this practice area from the ground up. In this role, you will design month-end close procedures, build customized client reporting, select cloud-based software tools, and manage accounting for high-net-worth family groups, real estate entities, and trusts. Most importantly, this role is explicitly structured to lead directly to an ownership/partner opportunity as the practice expands. Key Responsibilities Practice & Engagement Leadership: Develop and execute month-end close, reconciliation, and reporting frameworks for family office and business management clients. Tech Stack Innovation: Evaluate, recommend, and implement modern cloud accounting tools and software integrations to optimize service delivery. General Ledger Oversight: Maintain general ledgers, historical documentation, and financial schedules for diverse client entities, including complex real estate and trust structures. Client Advisory & KPIs: Support lead partners by presenting customized financial reporting sets, performance metrics, and actionable operational insights to clients. Continuous Improvement: Voice fresh ideas, streamline workflows, and ensure high ethical and professional standards across all client engagements. Qualifications Experience: 5+ years of progressive general accounting and financial reporting experience. Education & Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; active CPA license preferred (or CPA candidate). Systems Expertise: Proficient in cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Technical Depth: Solid understanding of GAAP and business tax reporting requirements.
