Fish Livestock Manager
Store Activities:
Oversees the store’s daily function.
Oversees the opening and/or closing of the store.
Maintain inventory of products and order, as needed
Oversee fish husbandry
Track and update inventory to reflect any changes in stock or pricing.
Assist in developing policies, procedures, methods, or standards to increase sales, expand markets and promote business.
Assist in planning and coordinating sales promotions
Employee Relations:
Manage employees.
Communicate with Management Team.
Assist in hiring, supervising, and terminating employees.
Assist in staff meetings to discuss concerns, ideas, and address action items.
Prioritize training and educating employees.
Resolve or assist employees to resolve work problems.
Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers.
Monitor and evaluate employee performance.
Explain rules, policies, or regulations.
Skills and Knowledge:
Possess working knowledge of freshwater fish and aquariums in general.
Comfortable talking about a variety of aquarium aspects and knowledge to accurately teach employees and advise customers.
Strong self-motivation, orientation to detail and ability to multi-task.
Ability to present a professional image of The Wet Spot Tropical Fish® to the public.
Confidence to lead staff and implement necessary changes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
Ability to work under pressure.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Requires standing and walking for long periods of time.

Summary
Manage the ordering of livestock and the day-to-day operations of the store. Implements strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability. Ensures customer needs are met by having livestock available for sale. Maintains store appearance and tanks stocked to company standards. Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise. Reports directly to the CEO and COO.
