VMS O&M MechanicThe VMS O&M Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment, light duty vehicles and non-mobile equipment. Candidate must have excellent communication, radio, telephone, and organizational skills.Essential duties include:Inspect heavy vehicles and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.Repair heavy construction vehicles and equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, front-end loaders, motor graders, tractor-trailers, vac trailers, water trucks, passenger vans, light duty pickup trucks, medium duty service trucks, indirect fired heaters and other equipment based on inspection and direction from supervisors.Adjust, repair, and replace the following: engines, transmissions, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, and steering.Disassemble and reassemble vehicle and equipment parts using hoists, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric tools.Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including lube, oil, and filter changes in accordance with maintenance schedules.Operate vehicles and equipment to diagnose issues and test drive after repairs are complete to ensure issue(s) have been resolved.Clean and maintain equipment, tools, and the general work area.Prepare and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.Required experience includes:Troubleshooting and repair knowledge of Cummins electrical and Aftertreatment Systems.Excellent understanding of Cummins INSITE diagnostic program.Troubleshooting and repair knowledge of Caterpillar and able to proficiently work with Caterpillar ETTroubleshooting and repair knowledge of indirect fired heatersHigh school diploma or GED equivalent is required.Drivers License required.Preferred experience includes:Valid CDL A driver's license preferred.Experience in the oil and gas industry and in the arctic environment5 years troubleshooting and repairing Cummins and Caterpillar equipment.Total rewards include:ASRC Energy Services, LLC is proud to offer a competitive benefits package aligned with our core ASPIRE values. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp.
