Stratasys Direct Manufacturing (SDM) is seeking a Mechanical Inspector III to support quality inspections throughout all phases of the production process—from raw materials to final products, including high-requirement and serialized parts. This role is responsible for interpreting quality standards, specifications, and purchase orders to ensure compliance with customer requirements, and for training fellow inspectors on these standards.
What you will be doing:
Perform incoming inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and PO’s with in-depth understanding of quality requirements, specification and purchase orders
Perform in-process inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings, including high requirement or production parts
Perform final inspection and testing as required by the Work Instructions and drawings
Advance understanding of GD&T and use of portable CMM. (FARO, Romer, etc.)
Perform inspection and document in compliance with AS9102
Create NCR’s and ensure dispositions are completed
Assist with quality functions of high-level customer programs, including but not limited to source inspection and portal use
Enforce company quality standards with special regard to customer satisfaction; product accuracy and appearance; and on time deliveries
Assist manufacturing departments in implementing quality systems such as: ISO 9001 and AS9100 internal and external monitoring; continuous process improvement; employee training
Assist with in training inspectors on the use of tools, equipment, quality requirements and customer requirements
Assist in maintaining Quality Records resulting from inspection/test
Participate in 5 “S” activities as assigned
Assist in MRB activities
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Demonstrate commitments to Stratasys Behaviors by leading, acting, and modeling these values
Other responsibilities as assigned by the department or manager
Must have for this role:
As a part of Stratasys, this position requires access to information and/or technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S. (or, green card holder), a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years of inspection experience
Proficient in the use of inspection tools
Experience in using advance inspection tools
Able to read and understand Blueprint/Engineering drawings, customer specifications and other job related documents
Proficiency in AS9102 FAIR
Proficiency in GD&T
Computer proficiency with MS Windows, MS Office and software
Excellent personal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others
Program Polyworks or equivalent software
Nice to have:
Three or more years of experience in the inspection field
Previous experience working in an ISO AS 9001 organization
Advance GD&T Training
Net-Inspect portal experience and proficiency
Proficient with use of inspection planning software
