You will play a key role in modernizing legacy policy administration, claims, billing, and financial platforms by analyzing data structures, service contracts, integrations, and downstream dependencies. You will partner closely with architects, developers, and data teams to define how legacy data is transformed and integrated into modern Azure-based ingestion pipelines, including mapping, lineage, reconciliation, and event-driven workflows. In this role, you will help drive the transition from traditional federated architecture to a domain-driven design (DDD) model by decomposing legacy services into scalable, domain-aligned capabilities and clearly defined bounded contexts. You will also document domain models, APIs, integration contracts, and event schemas that support long-term modernization and enterprise-wide data connectivity.What You'll Do:Analyze legacy policy administration, claims, billing, and financial systems to understand data structures, service contracts, APIs, and integration patterns. Map legacy data elements into modern Azure ingestion pipelines, including transformation rules, data lineage, reconciliation logic, risks, gaps, and dependencies. Partner with solution architects, developers, data teams, and product owners to translate logical designs into detailed features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Support the move from federated legacy architecture to domain-oriented design by defining domain capabilities, bounded contexts, event schemas, and integration contracts. Work heavily in Azure DevOps to create epics, features, user stories, and Gherkin acceptance criteria for complex, interconnected technical work.What You'll Have:Technologies used:MongoDB: document modeling, indexing, queryingConfluent Kafka: event streaming, topics, schema designRDBMS: studying current state with Oracle, SQL Server, Db2APIs: review existing use of REST APIs and model new Domain APIsAzure DevOps: creating epics, features, user stories; writing acceptance criteria in Gherkin format; documenting logic for data mapping and transformationsMS PowerPoint and MS Visio: Develop clear, structured presentations and process diagrams to onboard associates and drive standardization of documentation, requirements gathering, and operational workflows, improving clarity, consistency, and cross-team alignmentStrong technical business analysis experience, ideally supporting application modernization, data migration, integration, or domain-driven design initiatives. Experience with event-driven architecture, preferably Confluent Kafka or Kafka; similar event streaming or messaging experience may also fit. Ability to analyze source systems, data flows, APIs, and service contracts, then document how data should move, transform, reconcile, and trigger downstream actions. Familiarity with databases and data modeling concepts, including MongoDB or Cosmos DB, plus relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or Db2.
