Job Description
Northeast Air is seeking an Avionics - A&P Technician to support the aircraft maintenance department, performing Pitot, Static, RVSM, and Transponder testing in accordance with FAA regulations. Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electronics equipment and systems, fabrication, termination, and testing of avionics system wiring harnesses, and disassembling and reassembling of aircraft interior and instrument panels. Conduct other maintenance- related tasks (as an A&P) in the event that no avionics specialty items are needed on any given inspection. Member of the on-call airline maintenance roster for airline support at PWM.
Duties/Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems using aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins and letters, and equipment manufacturer’s installation manuals
Read and understand wiring diagrams and other technical installation data
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Provide avionics support to the team
Inspect, repair, and service maintenance items during scheduled maintenance tasks
Member of the on-call airline maintenance roster
Avionics - A&P Technician Position Job Requirements:
A&P certificate holder required
2+ years of recent experience in general aviation avionics preferred
Excellent troubleshooting skills and solid knowledge of aircraft mechanical and electrical system functions
Experience with Honeywell and Garmin Avionics products preferred
Sufficient experience to obtain a Repairman's Certificate
Experience on Pilatus aircraft preferred
Working knowledge of FAA regulations and inspection procedures
Ability to pass a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen and physical
Hold a valid driver's license
Communicate effectively, both oral and written
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to function well and maintain a high level of accuracy under pressure and time constraints
Flexibility, as needed, to accommodate external and internal customer needs
Ability to independently problem solve
Possess excellent active listening skills
Computer proficiency and familiar with Microsoft Office products
